FOSTERING CONTRACT
Here you will find the terms and
conditions for fostering one of our beautiful CKC Yorkshire
Terriers.
Conditions will vary for number of
litters and breedings depending on the sex of the dog
as well as the Value price of each
individual dog.
For the purpose of
this contract, FOSTER FAMILY represents all person or persons
residing in the same household as the pup/dog being fostered.
1. The Foster Family will provide
adequate food, fresh water, shelter, affection and medical care,
including all necessary shots and medications recommended by the
Veterinarian and at the cost of the Foster Family.
The Foster Family will feed the pup/dog the food requested by the
Breeder. The Foster Family will also use a Professional
Veterinarian that the Breeder agrees upon.
2. The Foster Family will provide the
pup/dog with veterinary care upon sickness, disease or injury
occurring while in the care of the Foster Family. Furthermore, the
Foster Family will keep the annual visits and vaccinations for
pup/dog up to date at the Foster Family’s expense.
3. The Foster Family will provide the
pup/dog with humane care at all times and failure to do so will see
the pup/dog with the removal from the Foster Family with no further
notice.
4. The Foster Family shall not keep
the pup/dog crated constantly or for long periods of time.
5. The Foster Family agrees should at
any time their address change to immediately inform the Breeder and
the Breeder shall at that time decide if the pup/dog will continue
living with the Foster Family. Failure to do so shall find
immediate removal of pup/dog and should there be any monetary costs,
the Foster Family will be responsible for reimbursing these costs to
the Breeder.
6. Under no circumstances shall the
pup/dog be sold, transferred, given to any individual or retail or
wholesale establishment for the purpose of sale or resale to the
public, to any research institution where medical experimentation
or other practices take place. The pup/dog remains the sole
ownership of the Breeder until the Breeder decides that the pup/dog
should no longer be used for the purpose of the Breeder’s breeding
program. Once the Breeder decides that the pup/dog is to be
retired, at this time the Foster Family can become sole owner(s) of
the pup/dog in question and who’s name, reg.# and microchip# are
indicated at the end of this contract under the following
conditions:

The Foster Family has proven to be a suitable family
for the pup/dog

The Foster Family has the pup/dog spayed/neutered at
the Foster Family’s expense

The Foster Family agrees and signs the Adoption
Contract written by the Breeder and agrees to abide by it’s terms
At this time the Breeder will have
the CKC papers transferred into the Foster Family’s primary name at
the expense of the Breeder and provide the Adoption Contract and
same services that is provided with an adopted pup/dog. The Breeder
will have the pup/dog verified by the Breeder’s professional
Veterinarian before placing and transferring the pup/dog to ensure
it is healthy. The puppy pack shall not be included with the
pup/dog. The Health Certificate and all other necessary
documentations will be given to the Foster Family/Adopter. There
shall be no other costs to the Foster Family other then those
mentioned above.
7. While in the care of the Foster
Family, the Breeder shall not be in any way liable or responsible
for any damage, accident or injury resulting from the pup/dog. The
Foster Family will not be in any way liable or responsible for any
damage, accident or injury resulting from the pup/dog while in the
care of the Breeder.
8. Should at any time the Foster
Family be no longer able to Foster or care for the pup/dog or no
longer wish to foster the pup/dog, the Foster Family is to inform
the Breeder immediately and the Breeder will remove the pup/dog from
the Foster Family. The Foster Family is aware and understands that
they are at no time obligated to keep the pup/dog nor is the Foster
Family obligated to adopt the pup/dog afterwards once available. It
is an open option for the Foster Family.
9. The Breeder is responsible for any and all
expenses incurred for the purpose of Breeding the pup/dog. Included
but not limited to: tests, medical treatment and medications during
pregnancy, c-sections, food and vitamins. The Breeder is not
liable nor responsible to provide any replacement puppy/dog nor any
monies in the event that should the dog die due to difficulties
related to any Breeding issues or aspects.
10. The Foster Family is aware and
agrees that they should immediately notify the Breeder when a female
has come into heat. It is the Breeder’s decision when the pup/dog
shall be bred. The Foster Family is also aware and agrees that the
female, when the Breeder decides should be bred, is to be brought to
the Breeder’s home. Then, once 1 month pregnant, will live with the
Breeder up and until the litter is born and the pups have been
whelped by the Dam(female). Once the Breeder has decided that it is
correct for the Dam(female) to be removed from her pups, the
Dam(female) will return to live with the Foster Family.
11. The Foster Family is aware and
agrees to have available at all time the Sire (male) or Dam (female)
for the Breeder’s use.
12. The Foster Family is aware and
agrees that the Foster Family has no rights nor possession over any
litters or pups produced by the pup/dog being fostered in their
home.
13. In the event of accident or
injury of pup/dog being fostered, while in possession of the Foster
Family, it is the Foster Family’s responsibility to provide all
necessary treatments suggested and prescribed by a professional
Veterinarian. The Foster Family will be responsible for all
financial costs occurring from any accidents or injuries while in
the Foster Family’s possession. Furthermore, should accident or
injury follow by the loss or death of the pup/dog, the Foster Family
will be responsible for the price of the pup/dog indicated at the
end of this contract.
14. Should the pup/dog be lost or
stolen while in the care of the Foster Family, the Foster Family is
responsible for all expenses and costs that may incur in the attempt
to retrieve or find the pup/dog. Should the Foster Family be
unsuccessful in finding or retrieving the pup/dog, the Foster Family
will be responsible for the price of the pup/dog indicated at the
end of this contract.
15. The Foster Family agrees to abide
by all rules and regulations that the Breeder has set forth.
Furthermore, both Breeder and Foster Family agree to keep a good
open relationship and provide each other with any and all important
information concerning the pup/dog. The Foster Family agrees to
follow instructions given by the Breeder as the Foster Family is
aware that the Breeder is best equipped for most situations
concerning the pup/dog.
16. In the event that the Foster
Family does become the sole owners of the pup/dog, the Breeder will
for the rest of the life of the pup/dog’s life provide 24 hours 7
days a week service to assist to the best of the Breeder’s knowledge
with the upkeep and welfare of the pup/dog. The Breeder will
provide her address, telephone number and e-mail address to the
Foster Family who is adopting the fostered pup/dog.
17. The Foster Family agrees to pay
the Breeder any and all expenses, including court costs, and
reasonable attorney fees, in enforcing the terms and provisions of
the Foster Family Contract.
